Teflon (polytetrafluoroethylene, PTFE) is a high performance polymer material with excellent resistance to chemical corrosion, high and low temperatures, non-stickiness, electrical insulation and biological inertness, and is widely used in chemical, electronic, medical, food processing and other fields.
Chemical stability : Teflon is hardly eroded by any chemical reagents, including strong acids (such as aqua regia), strong bases and organic solvents. It is one of the most corrosion-resistant materials known.
Temperature range : Long-term operating temperature -196 ° C to 260 ° C, short-term high temperature 327 ° C, and remains flexible at low temperatures.
Low coefficient of friction : The coefficient of surface friction is extremely low (0.04-0.1), the lowest among solid materials, and does not change with temperature.
Electrical insulation : Low dielectric constant (2.0-2.1), high resistivity (10^16-10^18Ω·cm), suitable for insulation of high-frequency electronic components
Ultra-Low Friction:
Natural self-lubrication reduces energy loss and improves operational efficiency.
Exceptional Chemical Resistance:
Impervious to strong acids, bases, solvents, and harsh industrial environments.
Extreme Temperature Stability:
Maintains performance from -200°C to +260°C.
Zero Maintenance Operation:
Maintenance-free design, no lubrication needed, reduces downtime risk.
Customization Capability:
Rapid production of non-standard sizes and complex geometries.
Dual Insulation & Protection:
Provides excellent electrical insulation and mechanical safeguarding.
Our RTFE precision machined parts are all customized design, which are made according to customer drawings. If you are interested, please find below our work flow chart for all custom-made parts:
1Q: What tolerances can you achieve with CNC-machined PTFE bushings?
1A: Standard ±0.01mm, tighter tolerances available upon request.
2Q: Are your virgin PTFE bushings compatible with food/pharmaceutical applications?
2A: Yes, 100% pure PTFE meets FDA and USP Class VI standards.
3Q: How do you ensure chemical resistance for specific solvents?
4A: We provide chemical compatibility charts and can validate against your required agents.
4Q: What’s the typical lead time for custom geometries?
4A: 3-5 days for standard specs; complex designs may require 7-10 days.
5Q: Can these bushings handle high axial loads in rotary applications?
5A: Optimized for radial loads; axial performance depends on design – consult our engineers.
